Each Dahlia is made in filigree, the centuries-old goldsmithing technique she studied there in greater depth. Elizabeth forms the flower petal by petal, alternating finely filled sections with open filigree shapes. The changing pattern gives the flower depth and lightness, with delicate openwork that becomes almost lace-like when seen up close.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the necklace, Elizabeth surrounded the golden Dahlia with large faceted aquamarine beads. Their soft, luminous blue gives the piece its unmistakable presence, while small gold-plated beads placed between the stones carry touches of gold around the neck. Even the clasp is made by Elizabeth, a detail that reflects how completely the necklace is her own work.
