Yes. Every Diosa del Alma jewel is made by Elizabeth in her atelier in The Hague. She shapes the metal, creates the filigree, sets the gemstones and works with the gemstone beads herself.
A small number of specialist processes are entrusted to craftspeople Elizabeth has chosen for their expertise. The hand-painted strands of pure silk used in some designs are made especially for Diosa del Alma by an artisan in Germany, while the gold plating is carried out by a specialist atelier.
Because so much of the work is done by hand, there will always be subtle differences from one piece to another. These are part of the jewel rather than imperfections, and mean that no two will ever be exactly alike.

Filigree is a centuries-old goldsmithing technique that uses exceptionally fine threads of gold or silver to create intricate patterns and structures. The wire is shaped and assembled by hand, often producing the almost lace-like appearance for which filigree is known.
It is at the heart of Diosa del Alma and appears throughout Elizabeth’s work. What fascinates her is how much can begin with something as simple as a fine thread of precious metal.
Discover the history, techniques and making of filigree.
Diosa del Alma jewellery is made in 925 sterling silver, finished with a generous layer of gold. Most pieces receive 3 microns of gold, while rings are plated with 5 microns to withstand the additional wear they are exposed to. Both exceed the thickness generally required for gold vermeil. Most designs can also be made to order in solid 18-carat gold.
Gemstones and gemstone beads are chosen individually for their colour, quality and character. Where possible, Elizabeth works with specialist suppliers who can provide greater transparency about the origin of their stones.
Full details of the metals and gemstones used can be found on each product page.
Yes, more so than a solid piece of jewellery. The beauty of filigree lies in its incredibly fine wirework and open construction, and that delicacy naturally requires a little more care.
Diosa del Alma jewellery is made to be worn and enjoyed. Normal wear is absolutely fine, but the filigree should be protected from strong pressure, knocks and pulling. It is also best to remove your jewel for activities where the fine wirework could catch on something.
More advice on wearing, cleaning and storing your filigree can be found in Caring for your jewel.
Every Diosa del Alma ring is made in the size you choose, so getting the measurement right before ordering is important.
The most accurate option is to have your finger measured by a jeweller or goldsmith. If you prefer to measure at home, you can use a digital ring-sizing tool or app, ideally with a ring that already fits you well as a reference.
If you are unsure, please get in touch before ordering. You can also send Elizabeth a photograph of your measurement so she can check it with you before your ring is made.
Resizing is not always possible once a ring has been finished. This is particularly important with gold-plated rings, as resizing would damage the plated finish.
See our Ring Size Guide for more information.
Diosa del Alma jewellery is made to be worn, but a little care will help keep it beautiful for years to come. Avoid water, perfume, cosmetics and skincare, and remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping.
After wear, make sure your jewel is clean and dry before storing it in the protective pouch provided, together with its anti-tarnish strip.
Gold plating will gradually wear over time, particularly in areas exposed to friction. Many pieces can be replated when needed, and Diosa del Alma also offers complimentary professional cleaning.
Full advice on cleaning, storing and replating can be found in Caring for your jewel.

If a jewel is in stock, it will usually be dispatched within 2 to 5 working days. Availability and expected lead times are shown on each product page.
If you are ordering for a wedding, birthday or another special occasion, please get in touch before placing your order. Depending on the piece and the date you have in mind, it may be possible to accommodate an earlier deadline.
We hope you will enjoy your Diosa del Alma jewel for many years to come. If you do change your mind, most pieces purchased through our website can be returned within 14 days of delivery.
During this period, you are welcome to examine the jewel as you would in a store. We simply ask that it is handled with care.
Elizabeth also offers the possibility to personalise a piece, for example by choosing a different gemstone, creating your own colour combination or making an adjustment to the design. If a jewel is made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, the statutory right of withdrawal may no longer apply. Where this is the case, it will always be made clear before you place your order.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Given the value of our jewellery, we recommend sending your return fully insured and with tracking.
Would you like to return or cancel an order? You can do so easily through your customer account. You will also find the same option under Returns & Cancellations in the website footer.
