A ring offers a particularly intimate way of seeing Camila. Worn on the hand, the flower can be admired from close range, revealing the layered petals, the open filigree and the tiny granules that form its centre. It is the same flower as the original Camila Earrings, yet here the eye is naturally drawn to the workmanship within it.

Every petal begins as a separate piece. I fill each frame with tiny filigree elements, all shaped by hand, carefully positioned and soldered into place. The centre is equally intricate, built from dozens of individual granules that are made and soldered one by one. Bringing these elements together is a slow and precise process, and much of its beauty lies in just how fine the work becomes.

Camila is named after someone very dear to me. What began with a single flower has since developed into a collection of different pieces, but I have always loved this original scale. As a ring, Camila is never quite out of sight. Perhaps that is what I love most about her: all that intricate work is there to be enjoyed by the person wearing it.

From First Idea to Final Detail

At Diosa del Alma, the person who imagines the jewel is also the person who makes it. Elizabeth designs and creates each piece herself, from the first idea to the moment it leaves her atelier.

This gives her the freedom to let a design evolve as she works. Proportions may shift or an unexpected detail may take the jewel in a new direction. Elizabeth enjoys leaving room for those moments rather than deciding everything in advance.

That same way of working makes personalisation a natural part of the atelier. Elizabeth can respond to individual wishes herself and shape a jewel with the person who will wear it in mind.

Elizabeth

Becoming a goldsmith was never part of the life she had imagined for herself. Until then, her career had been in the world of fashion and luxury. She had also built her own business, before serious illness unexpectedly changed the course of her life.

Several years later, during her recovery, she began learning to make jewellery. It was initially intended to support her rehabilitation, but she quickly became absorbed by the craft itself. She went on to train further as a goldsmith, discovering a direction she could never have imagined before her illness.
