Dahlia Petit is worn on a cord of pure silk, dyed and formed entirely by hand by a woman who specialises in this craft. Working with other artisans has always felt important, especially when their own craftsmanship can bring something distinctive to a jewel of mine. Here, the silk brings softness and colour to the necklace, while Dahlia remains firmly at its centre.

For this version, lime felt just right. It is one of the colours of the season and gives Dahlia a fresh, modern energy while still feeling elegant. On a woman the shade can look bold and polished, while on a younger wearer it becomes lighter and more playful. That feels especially fitting for Petit, a line created with different generations in mind.

On request, the bail can be made slightly larger so Dahlia can be moved from one silk cord to another. Additional cords are available separately in different colours and lengths, making it possible to choose a shade that works with what is being worn, the season or simply the mood of the moment. Changing the silk gives Dahlia a new expression each time, while the filigree flower remains the familiar centre of the necklace.

From First Idea to Final Detail

At Diosa del Alma, the person who imagines the jewel is also the person who makes it. Elizabeth designs and creates each piece herself, from the first idea to the moment it leaves her atelier.

This gives her the freedom to let a design evolve as she works. Proportions may shift or an unexpected detail may take the jewel in a new direction. Elizabeth enjoys leaving room for those moments rather than deciding everything in advance.

That same way of working makes personalisation a natural part of the atelier. Elizabeth can respond to individual wishes herself and shape a jewel with the person who will wear it in mind.

Elizabeth

Becoming a goldsmith was never part of the life she had imagined for herself. Until then, her career had been in the world of fashion and luxury. She had also built her own business, before serious illness unexpectedly changed the course of her life.

Several years later, during her recovery, she began learning to make jewellery. It was initially intended to support her rehabilitation, but she quickly became absorbed by the craft itself. She went on to train further as a goldsmith, discovering a direction she could never have imagined before her illness.
